The TideWater Team
Amanda Pope is a founder of TideWater Swim School and has dedicated her life to water safety for all children. Amanda studied Psychology at Drexel University, is a Registered Behavioral Technician in ABA Therapy, Aquatics Therapy and Rehabilitation, Aquatics Exercise, and is Advanced Practitioner in Neurolinguistic Programming. She created and developed our very TideWater Adaptive Aquatics Center (TWAAC) Program which has been recognized by the International Swim Coaches Association (ISCA) and USA Swimming's Make A Splash Foundation. Amanda has chorine in her blood, and has been involved in aquatics for over 10 years. She is the current Middle Atlantic Swimming Diversity Chair and is helping to make swimming as inclusive as possible. She has dedicated years to develop an adaptive water safety certificate course, training and resources to help start and successfully develop adaptive swimming programs.
TideWater's Deck Supervisor, Coach Abbie joined the TideWater team more than three years ago. She oversees TideWater's instructors, coaches Water Spouts and teaches. Swimm has been an important part of Abbie's life since she was a small child. She is a ten-year veteran of the Gloucester City Swim Club and swam for Gloucester Catholic for four years. Abbie studies at Rowan and is majoring in Health Promotion and Wellness management. During the long course season, she coashes for the Peachwood Pirates.
TideWater Adaptive's Deck Supervisor, Coach Aidan joined the TideWater family about a year ago bringing with him great knowledge of coaching and swim instruction. A seasoned ten-year veteran from Gloucester City Swim Club after which he joined Gloucester Catholic before focusing on Diving. He coached at Gloucester City for over 4 years and spends long course season at Collingswood. Coach Aidan is studying at Rutgers majoring in Psychology.
